Chimney Cleaning

At the heart of all of our chimney services is safety. According to the National Fire Protection Association, more than 25 per cent of household fires start or are caused by solid fuel heating sources, and yearly cleanings of chimneys help prevent this costly and potentially deadly incident. When our technicians arrive on-site, they will get to work.

Step 1: Brush work

From the hundreds of brushes we carry, our technician will determine what brush works best for your set-up and start brushing. The goal is to remove as much dirt, build-up, debris and soot from your chimney.

Step 2: Debris Removal

Once we finish brushing, our team will start the removal process. We will collect the debris that fell into the stove or lower down the chimney and remove it from your home.

Step 3: Vacuum

Finally, our team will vacuum out your chimney, removing any remaining dirt or dust to ensure you have a clean chimney.

Camera Inspection

All of our masonry chimney sweeping services utilize a camera inspection to see what we are dealing with after removing the dirt, dust and debris. Our camera will allow our team to spot any issues with your chimney or potential concerns or give you some peace of mind.

Level 2 Inspections

We also provide level 2 WETT inspections via camera. These inspections include a recorded video of your chimney and a WETT certificate if it passes. This is great if you are looking for peace of mind after buying a home or are looking to sell your property within the next year.

Masonry Inspections

Masonry chimneys are stunning, but they provide a unique challenge regarding inspections. However, Kane’s can help. Our expert technicians will be able to inspect all components of your masonry chimney, including your mortar joints, bricks, and all of the parts of the chimney, including the crown and even your flue cap.

Gas and Oil Flue Chimneys

As with masonry chimneys, gas and oil flues must be inspected and cleaned yearly to remove any soot or debris that gets into them. Although these flues are less prone to build-up, inspections are crucial as a failing flue chimney can lead to carbon monoxide issues in the home. Our team can complete inspections and quickly sweep your gas or oil flue chimney to help prevent any future issues.
